This is very unusual; a management programme tailored exactly to the manager and their organisation's needs with a dedicated personal coach and measured outcomes. Oh.... and a management qualification too.

Programme length
6 - 8 months

Membership to the Institute of Leadership and Management
Successful completion provides eligibility for Associate membership of the ILM so you may put the letters (AmInstLM) after your name
Student member status

Venue
St John's Innovation Centre, Cambridge or your premises

All course handouts and folders and a coaching textbook

Programme Structure
Interventions Information When
1 360 online performance review and feedback with coach Annonymous feedback from peers, reports and line manager presented in a report and analysed with your coach Month 1
2 Discuss results with your line manager and agree development objectives This is the start of making sure that he/she will support you throughout Month 2
3 Meet with your coach and design a personal development plan The plan becomes a working document to be constantly updated Month 2
4 Introductory Diploma Management 8 day qualification accredited by the ILM, delivered in 2 day blocks over 4 months Months 2, 3, 4, 5
5 Coaching sessions 2 x one hour sessions with your personal coach to support you through the programme When you need them
6 Find a mentor Encouragement and help to find a mentor to help you after the programme ends Month 5
7 Measured outcomes and final 360 review with feedback You will complete a short project for the Diploma, which will have measurable outcomes. Also your coach will help you evaluate the impact of your development and the 360 will reflect changes Month 5
You could: send a manager on our open programme starting January 07 or March 07 or start a cohort of managers in your own organisation to fit in with your preferred timings. Another option then is to add specific topics / interventions using your own in-house expertise. You could even incorporate the progamme into your graduate training scheme, for example, with a lower level qualification.
